Why are we selling?

Over the last few years we have moved several times. Each time we pack up our stuff, our multitude of books and move; and each time, boxes don't get unpacked. Things we can't live without stay in their boxes, so maybe we don't need them.

Maybe this is a carry-over from Greg. We tried to do a count of everywhere he's lived and at 40+ years of age he's probably moved 35+ times. That doesn't mean he's stopped collecting 'things', just that every so often he has this get-rid-of-things blow out.

Really, we don't need everything we have. We can live with fewer clothes, fewer books, and consequently less furniture. But we don't want to just throw it out, so gradually we are selling it all.

The ultimate goal is reduce our stuff enough that we don't need to have a storage unit when we head overseas for a few years.

The is a lounge room / TV stand. It's black and easy enough to move. It's years old and has been so many moves I've lost count. It's got chips and wear, but it's still solid and isn't bad way to hold up a TV. Anyone know a student?

($20.00) Bookcase: Short, wooden, some wear

So this one is a short, wooden bookcase. It's got some chips, but it's pretty solid. It used to hold our heavier books (note the bow in the shelves), but it's still alive so it must be good!

($2.00) Book: Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Portal Through Time

A Buffy the vampire slayer book, Portal through time, by Alice Henderson. Before twilight, there was Buffy. This household prefers Buffy. $2 pickup.

($1.00) Book: Kidnapped

Classic tale from Robert Louis Stevenson, Kidnapped is set in 18th century Scotland, some years past the Jacobite rebellion.

($2.00) Book: The Count of Monte Cristo

A classic story of revenge. $2 pickup, or $2 plus postage

The first Carl Hiaasen book I ever read. And one of my favourites. Very funny

($20.00) Bookcase: tall, thin and wood

This bookcase has been with us for a few years. It's been through 5 moves and is still in fairly good nick. It has some small nicks and scrapes, but really it's lasted quite well. Space for quite tall books or dolls, larger items for display.

Price is $20.00 as a starting point but this is negotiable.

Item is located in south-eastern Brisbane and is pick-up only.

We bought this years ago as a way to display some of our knick-knacks. With less 'stuff' we have less need for display space. Surely someone wants to show their 'stuff' off?

Not sure what else I can say. It's a bookcase, it's made of wood and it's in pretty good condition. It'a about 180cm tall and around 45cm wide.
